Hello friends! It's summer so expect many book reviews! The first of many is The Gospel According to Coco Chanel by Karen Karbo.
This book seemed promising but it actually was very disappointing. While I do appreciate a little Chanel history, this book is all about Coco's life mixed in with the author's own life story. Karbo notes some of Chanel's major contributions to modern fashion but also has many tidbits of useless information. I did not learn anything that I did not already know. However, it was well written and did keep my attention for about half the book. So, if this is the kind of book that interests you, you should still check it out.
