Day Three: Favorite Television Program
No doubt ONE TREE HILL. I know, silly dramatic show but I love it. Are you kidding me Peyton Sawyer!? She was too much at times but i could relate to her sooo much! Like I love my outgoing, adventurous, party loving friends but sometimes they did not get my emo side. lol. Seriously. I love hip hop but i listen to like some dark stuff sometimes and they just couldnt handle that. So I connected with her. I've had a blog since forever and I used to have a podcast, write my own songs, whatever and thats the kind of stuff she did. PLus she was very into music just like me. =] AND she had curly hair lol. The story line was amazing. I know the show is still going but it is NOTHING without Peyton and Lucas.

I also like Family Guy, South Park, Futurama, The Game, Gossip Girl, The Simpsons, Fresh Prince, The Daily Show with John Stewart, The Food Network, Shows on Adult Swim, and a whole bunch of girlie shows lol.

Day Two: Favorite Song
I don't have a favorite song!! Are you kidding me? This question is impossible for me to answer. One of my favorite songs to sing is No Me Queda Mas by: Selena. I really connect with that song. I love singing to Amy Winehouse Christina Aguilera, Etta James...any of their songs really.

For some reason I really like that After Tonight song by Justin Nozuka. I also love Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys...the Beatles are awesome as well. I Used to Love H.E.R. by Common Always Love by Nada Surf. Seriously like this question is too hard! Little Wing by: Jimmy Hendrix, Heartbeats (cover) by Jose Gonzales. =] I love songs from all the decades really. From like the 50's on. Oldies by Goodies! lol

Day One: Your Favorite Movie
I have many movies. I will list them and tell you why I like them. =]

Brown Sugar: I don't even remember how I came across this movie. All I know is that it changed my life. It's a love story between two best friends but more than that it is about the love of hip hop. I am talking about the honest true hip hop of when it first came out. That shit was legit and I miss it. Watch

Selena: You don't even have to know me that well to know that I love Selena. She was and will always be my idol and this movie helps me remember her.

Legally Blonde, The Devil Wears Prada, Confessions of a Shopaholic: Chick flicks, I love them. These specifically are about girls who were thought to be nothing but stupid. They were out of place and that is how i feel sometimes. A girl like Elle in law school? A girl like Andy in fashion? A shopaholic giving financial advice? Mia in college?? A law student?? High school teacher?? Does that go? I can do anything when I set my mind to it. If you don't know that by now you never will.

I am also into foreign films (Korean, Japanese, Italian, French, Spanish) and musicals.

I'm Not the Only One Who Believes in the Curse of the J's lol

I'M A DORK SO I GOOGLED "THE CURSE OF THE J'S". Of course my curse of the J's is a bit different...nothing to do with musicians. ANYWAY, THIS IS WHAT I FOUND AND I FOUND IT HILARIOUS!!!

The Curse of J’s (Or, Why Do So Many Great Deceased Rock Musicos Have a “J” in Their Name?)THE CURSE OF J’S

[This piece was inspired by and is dedicated to Ed, whose twin I happen to be. Not that it was by coincidence, I don’t believe in coincidences; rather -- that’s what’s happening.]

By now everyone who knows anything of any real importance about rock music knows more or less two essential facts: 1) A lot of the most gifted rockers checked out early for that great Hall of Fame in the sky; 2) Many of these had a “J” in their first or last name (Jimi, Janis, Jim, John, Jerry, etc.) Until now, however, no one has come forward with a coherent, unified theory that could single-handedly tie together all the loose threads of dates and names and niggling little details, and present them to you, the reader, in an easy-to-peruse manner that would satisfactorily and definitively explain the “Curse of Js” once and for all time. Well, there still isn’t, but here’s a stab…

First off, let’s get some things straight here. We’re talking about rock music, not about any other musical genre like folk or rap or country, or any other category like rock movie stars. So if your man died young, had a J in his or her name, and happened to be a famous musician but not a rocker, fuggetaboutit. Django? Nice try, but doesn’t count. James Dean? One of the first celluloid rock stars (or “celluloid heroes” as Ray Davies called them – note, not dead, for obvious reasons) and actually an interesting case, but, well…let’s think about JD some more. There are some other notable in-between cases, as well. Like that other JD — John Denver – was he a rock star? Some would claim he was, and he was famous and died young (in a plane – pretty typical rock star fashion) and yeah, he clearly had the “J” happening in his name. Jim Croce? Well, despite the fact that songs like “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown” and “You Don’t Mess Around With Jim” do have some attitude, and the chord changes to “I Have to Say I Love You” were recently lifted for a Tenacious D song, similar problem — not clear whether he was rockin’ enough. You get the idea.

My Mean Girls

So idk how you know me. It could be that you went to Phillips with me, or high school. Maybe I met you here in Davis, but if you need to know something about me is that when this movie came out it was basically my friends and my bible. Seriously, you cannot go wrong with Mean Girls. Some people are just so hard to define but this just fits us so perfectly. So today when i saw that it was National "Mean Girls" Status Day on Facebook my heart jumped with joy because this movie will always be dear to my heart. Adrian, Jesus, Liz, I love you guys very much and I hope that when we watch this movie in 20 years it will remind us of our high school days when life was awesome, fun, and pink. ;)

A Fairy Tale alla Mia

There once was a princess who lusted after brave knights in shining armour. She got with one it was a good for about a 3 months. By then she had gotten tired of him always talking about himself, not calling her back for days and always flirting with other princesses (sometimes they weren't even princess).

Yet, she could not leave him. The knight no longer wanted the princess but instead of telling her to leave he would just treat her very very badly. Even then the princess would not leave. Finally, he ended up leaving off to a far far land. STILL the princess cried for him, asking when he would return.

Five years later the princess ran into the knight. But how much the knight had changed. He looked more like an ogre than anything. The princess was surprised but very much delighted. As she was often told she was the prettiest in the land and now her ex-knight was nothing but a thing of the past.

Every princess has a bad knight who will ALWAYS turn into an ogre in the end.

Napa trip =]

My fabulous Buddies from Davis came to visit my lovely hometown last weekend. It was such a fun trip. A true adventure to show them my appreciation of their friendship and to share with them a piece of me. I love my new friends and I love my hometown.

I gave them a tour of all the important places in Napa and we went wine tasting as well. We went to Darioush, Beringer and Domaine Chandon. We hit Compadres, Marie Calendar's, and Dean and Deluca. We karaoked and got buzzed off wine. They met MIA WINEHOUSE! Cried over sad movies. Just made us closer.
